EUHR Solana on the 15th commemoration of the Rwanda genocide

Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), sharing the thoughts and sentiments of the people of Rwanda today on the occasion of the 15th commemoration of the 1994 genocide, made the following comments:

"These tragic events, that shook the world, have marked us all. Today we honour all those who became victims of hatred and murders committed in Rwanda and we pay them our profound respect. Let this commemoration inspire us to design a future where such tragic events will never be forgotten nor reoccur."
