Sommaire: 3 January 2008, Brussels- Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) voiced his concern today at the situation in Kenya. Mr Solana stressed that all efforts at mediation, including those of the African Union and of Archbishop Desmond Tutu, deserved full support.
Mr Solana and US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice discussed the problems in Kenya during a telephone call and agreed that these were the priorities and that they would continue to follow the situation.
