EUHR Solana welcomes repatriation of Bulgarian nurses and Palestinian doctor from Libya

Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), issued the following statement on the repatriation of the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor:

"I am delighted that the Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor have been repatriated to Bulgaria. This decision puts an end to a long-standing tragedy.

I extend my congratulations to all those who with determination and hard work made possible this outcome.

I would also like to express my sympathy and compassion to the infected children and their families.

Now, I am confident that we will be able to improve our relations with Libya".
