
Sumario: 2 October 2007, Brussels - Javier SOLANA, European Union High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), condemned the suicide attack that took place in Kabul, Afghanistan, early this morning:
"I would like to condemn today's suicide attack in the strongest possible terms and I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
Amongst the victims were many police officers that helped stabilise your country so that their fellow citizens could lead their lives peacefully.
I want to express my solidarity with the Afghan government and underscore the EU's commitment to supporting your country's reconstruction and stabilisation, in particular by supporting your efforts in the field of police and the rule of law".
