Summary: 12 September 2008, Brussels - Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) welcomes the announcement by President Thabo Mbeki of the conclusion of a political agreement between the Zimbabwean parties.
The High Representative is confident that this agreement, to be signed on 15 September when its details will be revealed, will allow Zimbabwe to find a way out of its deep crisis in the interest of the Zimbabwean people, but also of Southern Africa as a whole.
