Summary: On 19 May 2008, Peter Thompson, the Director for Development and EPAs in DG Trade at the European Commission, gave a presentation at the UN on the "Economic Partnership Agreements - Drivers of Development".
Mr. Thompson's presentation was followed by Q&A, during which delegates from the African, Caribbean and Pacific regions intervened in an interesting and informative debate on the merits of these economic partnership agreements concluded by the EU and the ACP countries.
