EUHR Solana condemns terrorist attack in Iraqi Parliament

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), has condemned the terrorist attack carried out today in the building of the Iraqi Parliament:

"I firmly condemn the terrorist attack carried out today in the building of the Iraqi Parliament in Bagdad. This new act of extreme violence against the symbol of the sovereignty of the Iraqi people shows once more that all efforts must be made to put an end to the cycle of violence that is causing so much suffering to the Iraqi people.

I convey my most sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the families of the victims and to the Iraqi authorities"
