Prospects for the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership: Marking the 10th Anniversary of the Barcelona Process

On the 27th-28th of November 2005, the first Euro-Mediterranean Summit of Heads of State and Government was held in Barcelona, Spain, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Barcelona Process, a groundbreaking approach to building economic and political partnership between the EU and its Mediterranean neighbors. The aim of the 2005 Summit: to review and strengthen this unique process of regional co-operation with an area of vital importance both to the EU and the world.

On December 5th in New York, a distinguished panel of guests will evaluate the Euro Mediterranean Partnership, considering both the historical context of the relationship, the outcomes of the Summit, and next steps.
