EUHR Solana condemns terrorist attack in Hadera

Summary: EUHR Solana condemns terrorist attack in Hadera (26 October 2005: Brussels)

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), strongly condemned today the terrorist attack carried out in a market in the Israeli costal city of Hadera that injured and killed may civilians.

"I condemn in the strongest manner the terrorist attack that took place today in the Israeli city of Hadera. My condolences and sympathy go first of all to the families of the victims and to the Israeli authorities.

I appeal to the Palestinian Authority to do the maximum to apprehend and bring to justice those responsible for this attack.

It is of utmost importance to avoid further violence that would undermine the hope and positive expectations following the disengagement of Gaza. All efforts should be done to renew confidence and the spirit of cooperation."
