Commission VP Wallström on German ratification of EU Constitution

I very much welcome the overwhelming approval to the Constitution given today by the German Bundesrat. Germany is now the ninth Member State to ratify the Constitution.

We now have nine Member States, representing 220 million citizens, which have approved the Constitution. The voice of nearly 50% of the European Union cannot be ignored.
