Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), made the following comments on the European Parliament's approval today of the new European Commission, presided by José Manuel BARROSO:
"I would like to congratulate José Manuel Barroso and the whole European Commission on today's approval by the European Parliament. I look forward to working with him and his team of Commissioners to address the common challenges ahead of us and to strive together for a stronger Europe, in the spirit of the new Constitutional Treaty."
