EU Presidency declaration on further measures in support of International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslav (ICTY)

Summary: October 21, 2004: Declaration by the Presidency on behalf of the European Union concerning Council Common Position 2004/694/CFSP on further measures in support of the effective implementation of the mandate of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslav (ICTY)

The Candidate Countries Bulgaria, Romania, and Croatia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro, and the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, declare that they share the objectives of Council Common Position 2004/694/CFSP on further measures in support of the effective implementation of the mandate of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslav (ICTY). They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Common Position.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

* Croatia continues to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process
