EUHR Solana granted Honoris Causa Brevet by Belgian 'Institut Royal Supérieur de Défense'

Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy, will be granted a Honoris Causa Brevet by the "Institut Royal Supérieur de Défense (IRSD-KHID)" of Belgium on Wednesday, 6 October 2004. The ceremony will coincide with the official opening day of the academic year of IRSD-KHID and the Belgian "École Royale Militaire (ERM-KMS). Mr. Solana will pronounce the inaugural lecture on recent and future developments of the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP).

The ceremony and inaugural lecture are open to the media.

Media are invited to be at "École Royale Militaire (ERM-KMS) at 10.30 a.m. (rue Hobemma 8, 1000 Brussels).
