EUHR Solana met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil

Javier Solana, EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), had yesterday, 11 November, an informal dinner with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mr. Celso Amorim. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss EU-Brazil relations, to analyze the international situation as well as the role of the United Nations and to discuss the integration process in Latin America.

"Brazil is an important Latin American country with which the European Union wants to develop closer co-operation, not only at economic but also at political level", said the EU High Representative after this meeting.
