EU and US remember September 11, 2001

European Union and United States representatives held a minute of silence today in Brussels, in memory of the thousands of victims of the horrific terrorist attacks perpetrated on September 11, 2001 in the US.

Javier SOLANA, EU High Representative for the CFSP and Ambassador Rockwell SCHNABEL, US Representative to the EU, were both present at the remembrance ceremony that took place in the beginning of the meeting of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU, presided by Italy's Ambassador Umberto VATTANI.
