Summary: August 23, 2002: UN World Summit on Sustainable Development 6% of energy consumed in the EU comes from renewables (Johannesburg, 26/08 - 04/09 2002)
In conjunction with the UN World Summit on Sustainable Development taking place in Johannesburg, South Africa from 26 August to 4 September 2002, Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities in Luxembourg, is publishing today a statistical report providing some basic data on social, environmental and economic aspects of sustainability in the EU.
